    How to remove and install a rear shock absorber on Ford Excursion? Posted by Customer
    A:
    Park the Ford Excursion on smooth ground. Put jackstands under its back end. Then raise and block the front wheels. Put your floor jack under the axle next to the canceled shock, and lift only enough to transfer the weight from the shock. Take out the nut and bolt that hold the shock absorber's lower end to the rear axle. Take out the two bolts at the top of the shock absorber during the Excursion operation. After removing the shock absorber, put it back where it was then fasten all bolts and nuts until they reach the exact torque values.
