    Q:
How to replace Fuel Pressure Sensor and Fuel Temperature Sensor on Ford Mustang? Posted by Customer
    A:
Both engines are equipped with an FRPT sensor located on the left fuel rail, with the sensor on a 4.6L V8 engine being virtually identical to that on a 4.0L V6. To begin, relieve the fuel pressure in the fuel system and disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Next, disconnect the electrical connector from the FRPT sensor by relieving the fuel system pressure, depressing the release tab, and disconnecting the electrical connector, followed by disconnecting the vacuum hose and removing the sensor mounting bolts. After that, remove the old O-ring from the FRPT sensor and carefully clean the mating surfaces of the sensor and the fuel rail. Install a new O-ring on the FRPT sensor, and then reverse the removal process for installation, ensuring the mounting bolts are tightened to the specified torque. Finally, start the engine and check for fuel leaks around the FRPT sensor.
