Q:
How to remove the MAPT sensor on Ford Edge? Posted by Customer
A:
On 2014 and earlier 2.0L models, the MAPT sensor is located on the left side of the charge air cooler. On 2015 and later 2.0L engines, the MAP sensor is located on the left side of the intake manifold, and on 2.7L models, the MAP sensor is located on top of the intake manifold. Additionally, on 2015 and later models, the MAPT and MAP are considered the same sensor. To remove the MAPT sensor, start by disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal and removing the engine cover. Then, disconnect the electrical connector from the MAPT sensor and remove the retaining bolt. Finally, remove the sensor from the charge air cooler or intake manifold. Installation is the reverse of removal.
