    How to remove and install the Mass Air Flow Sensor and Intake Air Temperature Sensor from the air filter housing on Ford Taurus? Posted by Romarie T.

    Both sensors are located on the duct portion of the air filter housing cover, and not all models are equipped with an Intake Air Temperature Sensor. Begin by disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal. Next, disconnect the electrical connector from the MAF or Intake Air Temperature Sensor. For the MAF sensor, remove the mounting fasteners and take the sensor out of the air filter housing. For the Intake Air Temperature Sensor, lift up the tab, turn the sensor counterclockwise, and then pull it out. Installation is the reverse of removal.
