You will have to loosen the lug nuts from your vehicle, and raise and support it on jack stands to inspect and maintain its brake system. Remove the brake caliper without disconnecting the hose and suspend it with wire. Examine the disc surface for damage and scoring. Use a dial indicator to check for disc runout. Remove glaze from or resurface discs. Micrometer is used to measure disc thickness. Apply anti-seize lubricant after cleaning the backside of the pads. Reassemble bolts tightening them when done. Lower your vehicle, tighten the lugs, engage pads with the disc, and test brake operation. Check the parking brake for rear discs only. Do a complete inspection of your braking system components.
