    Q:
What is the procedure for removing the blower motor on the 1993 Ford Explorer? Posted by Customer
    A:
For 1994 and earlier models. Remove the air cleaner. In the engine compartment, push down on the electrical connector locking tab and disconnect the connector from the blower motor. For models without air conditioning, disconnect the small rubber cooling tube from the blower motor. For models with air conditioning, remove the single nut from the bottom of the plenum, located just to the right of the heater core access cover. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor resistor, the vacuum hose from the check valve, and the vacuum line from the intake manifold, and remove it from the routing channel. Remove the three screws securing the blower motor to the heater blower assembly. Be careful not to damage the gasket. Pull the blower motor out of the heater assembly. If necessary, remove the push nut on the motor shaft and remove the blower wheel from the motor.
