    How often should the Door Hinge, Door Latch, Door Lock, Hood Hinge, Hood Latch and Tailgate Latch be lubricated on Ford Ranger? Posted by Stasy T.

    Approximately every 2500 miles of travel or once every 3 months the hinges and latch assembly on the doors, the hood and the tailgate must be treated to a couple of drops of light oil or lock lubricating oil. Also the door latch strikers ought to be greased with a very thin layer of grease so as to lessen the amount of wear and to facilitate the opening of the door. The door locks are best lubricated using the spray-on graphite.
