- A:To remove the hub and bearing assembly, first loosen the wheel lug nuts, apply the parking brake, and raise the vehicle. Support it securely on jackstands placed under the frame. Remove the wheel. Next, remove the grease cap from the hub and discard it. Then, remove the brake caliper and secure it with wire so that it does not interfere with the spindle. Remove the brake disc. Remove the hub nut and discard it. Finally, remove the hub and bearing assembly. If the hub assembly is not easily removed by hand, use a puller.
