Ford G2MZ-1104-C Hub Assembly - Wheel

First, apply the parking brake and loosen the wheel lug nuts. Then, raise the front of the vehicle and securely support it on jack stands. Remove the wheel and brake disc. Next, remove the hub dust cap and nut, and push the drive axle through the hub splines while removing the hub and bearing assembly. Care should be taken not to overextend the inner CV joint. Finally, support the outer end of the drive axle with a length of wire or rope.

For 2010 and earlier models, separate the upper arm from the wheel knuckle, place a floor jack under the lower arm, remove the lower shock absorber bolt, and detach the upper stabilizer bar link and outboard toe link. Pull the drive axle out and secure it. Next, disconnect any electrical connectors and brake lines that may obstruct the removal of the component. Ensure that all fasteners are accounted for and labeled for reinstallation. Finally, carefully maneuver the component out of the assembly, taking care not to damage surrounding parts.

To install the hub and bearing assembly, follow the reverse steps of removal. Additionally, make sure to replace all suspension fasteners that were removed with new ones and tighten them to the specified values listed in the Specifications.
