    Q:
How to remove the fender from Ford Expedition? Posted by Customer
    A:
Raise the vehicle, support it securely on jackstands, and remove the front wheel. For the pick-up and expedition, remove the radiator grille, then detach the fender retaining bolts located behind the headlight assemblies, accessing them best with the headlight housings removed. Remove the wheel opening molding if equipped, then detach the inner fenderwell bolts and clips before removing the inner fenderwell. If removing the passenger side fender, also remove the radio antenna. Next, remove the fender-to-rocker panel bolts, open the door to remove the fender to door pillar bolts, and detach the remaining fender mounting bolts located in the hood opening. Carefully detach the fender, having an assistant support it to prevent damage to surrounding body panels, and installation is the reverse of removal. For the navigator, open the hood and remove the plastic trim panel covering the top of the radiator support and hood latch assembly, then detach the headlight housing assemblies and remove them from the vehicle. Remove the grille opening panels and the grille opening panel reinforcement nut, followed by the front bumper cover assembly. Detach the fender retaining bolts located behind the headlight assemblies, then detach the inner fenderwell bolts and clips, removing the inner fenderwell and mud shield. If removing the passenger side fender, also remove the radio antenna. Remove the fender-to-rocker panel bolts, open the door to remove the fender to door pillar bolts, and detach the remaining fender mounting bolts located in the hood opening. Carefully detach the fender, having an assistant support it to prevent damage to surrounding body panels, and installation is the reverse of removal.
