    How do you remove and inspect the inter cooler from the engine compartment on Ford Excursion? Posted by Customer

    Remove the radiator from the engine compartment. On 6.0L engines, also remove the air filter and the air filter assembly front cover for clearance. Remove the inter cooler inlet and outlet ducts, followed by the stud bolts from the radiator support. Next, take out the inter cooler from the engine compartment. Inspect the inter cooler for cracks and damage to the flanges, tubes, and fins, replacing or repairing it if necessary. Installation is the reverse of removal, and ensure to tighten the inter cooler mounting nuts to the specified torque.
