To remove the A/C switch, first take off the center dash bezel. Then, find and remove the four screws securing the A/C switch. Gently pull it out, being careful not to damage any connectors or vacuum harness. Disconnect these from the switch, ensuring not to crack the plastic connectors. If your vehicle has the Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) system, it has additional switches on the wheel and dashboard. For manual air conditioning models, remove the blower motor speed switch, function selector, and blend-control switch from the control head. Some Navigator and Expedition models may have a rear-mounted heating/air-conditioning system with separate controls. To reinstall, reverse the removal procedure, ensuring all connectors and vacuum lines are properly connected.
