    Separate the Throttle Cable from the cable bracket. On 4.0L SOHC engines, remove the cable retaining bolt and separate the Throttle Cable from the cable bracket. On 2001 and later models, the cable snaps into its bracket, and it can be released by squeezing the cable housing with pliers.
