Pack the joint with the supplied grease evenly so gear surfaces are well coated. 4. Slide the new boot into position and seat both boot lips into their grooves, making sure the boot is not twisted or pinched. 5. Install and secure the new clamps or bands using the appropriate crimping/tightening tool designed for the clamp type. 6. Reinstall the axle into the hub/transaxle and engage the retaining method for that design, ensuring the splines/seal are properly seated. 7. Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and tighten wheel fasteners to the correct specification. 9. Reconnect the negative battery terminal. 10.
