    Q:
How to remove and install the rear Sway Bar Kit on a Ford Explorer? Posted by Customer
    A:
The Sway Bar Kit has to be unbolted first and to do so, the vehicle has to be lifted off the ground and properly supported with jackstands, and if the car is equipped with Automatic Ride Control the switch has to be turned off. After that, take out the nut and washer that bolts the rear Sway Bar Kit ends to the link at each end and then unscrew the retainers from the rear axle housing. Following that, you must remove the mounting brackets, retainer with rubber isolators, and Sway Bar Kit from the vehicle, then check the rubber isolators on the Sway Bar Kit and if necessary replace the rubber isolators. During installation, place the Sway Bar Kit onto the rear axle assembly such that the retainer mark referred to as UP is in an upward position then fit the Sway Bar Kit along with the retainer on the mounting brackets in the right position of the UP mark. Place the U-bolts and nuts, tightening them with fingers only, shift the Sway Bar Kit ends into proper position and fasten them with the link, a bolt, washer, nut on both ends and then tightening them to the desired torque. Last, fasten the retainer bolts and link nuts to the required torque for a firm hold and withheld security.

    Q:
How to remove and install a front Sway Bar Kit assembly on Ford Ranger? Posted by Customer
    A:
Position the front wheels straight ahead and securely raise the vehicle on jackstands. Disconnect the Sway Bar Kit from the lower control arms by removing the nuts from the links that attach the bar to the arms, discarding the fasteners for new ones during installation. Detach the Sway Bar Kit from the frame by removing the four bracket bolts, also discarding these fasteners for new ones upon installation. Remove the Sway Bar Kit assembly and inspect all rubber bushings for any cracks, tears, or damage, replacing any that are worn or deteriorated. Installation follows the reverse order of removal, ensuring that all bolts and nuts are tightened to the specified torque. Note that the sway bar-to-frame bracket bolts are self-tapping; if they cannot be tightened to the correct torque, obtain a kit with special fasteners from the dealer, and use new sway bar link nuts and bracket bolts.

    Q:
How to remove and install the rear Sway Bar Kit on Ford Ranger? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the rear Sway Bar Kit you have to first unbolt the nut and washer that hold the bar ends to the link on each side. Following that, you need to undo the bolts of the retainers that are located on the rear axle housing and then make it easier to remove the mounting brackets, retainer along with the Sway Bar Kit from the vehicle. Check the rubber isolators present on the Sway Bar Kit and then change them if they are damaged. For installation, align the Sway Bar Kit over the rear axle assembly with the retainer presented over the bar having the UP mark. Place the Sway Bar Kit and the retainer on the brackets but like the previous one, it should be aligned UP towards the truck bed. Next soak the holes with liquid epoxy and next put in the U-bolts and the nuts and tighten it finger-tight. The Sway Bar Kit ends need to be moved into position and fitted to the links then fasten them, using bolt, washer, nut and tighten it to the required torque. Last but not, turn the retainer bolts and link nuts to the appropriate torque tightness.
