- A:1.Start by loosening the wheel lug nuts and raising the vehicle on jackstands. 2. Remove the wheel. 3.Remove the upper ball joint-to-spindle bolt and nut to separate the spindle from the upper control arm. 4. Support the spindle with wire or rope. 5.Break off the tabs on the upper control arm pivot bolts and remove the control arm bolts. 6.If the pivot bushings are worn out, take the control arm to a repair shop to have them replaced.Posted by FordPartsGiant Specialist
