    To remove the alternator from 2.3L and 2005 through 2007 2.0L engines, follow these steps: Remove the top alternator heat shield nut from above and the lower one below. Remove the lower engine splash shield. Remove the drivebelt. Remove the lower alternator mounting nut. Remove the upper alternator mounting nut and the bolt at the roll-restricting engine mount. Remove the alternator.
