How do you remove and install a transaxle mount on Mercury Mariner?

Insert a large screwdriver or pry bar between the mount and the transaxle and pry up, ensuring the transaxle does not move excessively away from the mount; if it does, replace the mount. For a four-cylinder model, remove the battery, then take off the air filter housing cover and air intake tube. Support the transaxle with a jack, remove the nuts and bolts, and take out the mount, raising the transaxle slightly if necessary to provide enough clearance. Installation is the reverse of removal, and all of the mount fasteners should be installed before tightening any of them.
