Look for any visible damages on the seat belts, the buckles, the latch plates and the guide loops as well as any signs that show that they have worn out. Make verifications on the Warning Light as follows: Seat Belt Reminder Light-illuminates when the ignition key is in the Run or Start position. They must remain locked during an abrupt deceleration or collision, but remain adjustable for normal driving; make sure that the retractor pulls the belt across your chest and reels the belt in when the buckle is unbuckled. If any of the aforesaid checks show faults in the seat belt system, then replace components that need replacement.
