How to install and remove the hood cable and hood latch on the Lincoln MKX?

To fit the hood latch, one has to reverse the observed procedure of fitting the grille shutter by making a note of the fact that the active grille shutter has to be removed where the model is 2015 and above. Last but not least, it is necessary to remove the two hood release handle mounting bolts, to take out the hood release handle, to disconnect the release cable from the release handle and to pull the cable through the fire wall.
