Lincoln MKT Oil Cooler Line

The Lincoln MKT Oil Cooler Line is designed to protect the twin turbo power plant by removing hot lubricant from the block so it can cool and return with the right viscosity. This simple act keeps the power strong and protects the parts. The Oil Cooler Line is situated on the driver side of all the Lincolns in the series. It connects the pressurized oil gallery to an oil to water exchanger which lives inside the standard radiator tank. So start up warmth makes it here quickly, while peak heat never gets out of hand during towing, steep climbs, or long highway blasts. Over the course of MKT production, earlier Lincoln builds were fitted with a rubber lined Oil Cooler Line that was suited for daily driving. Later edition MKTs got a composite layered Oil Cooler Line rated for 150 psi and temperatures near 300 degrees Fahrenheit which doubled the service life while virtually eliminating leaking. As a result of the upgrade, Lincoln owners were confident to push harder with their SUVs without the risk of the Oil Cooler Line bursting or splitting. All years of MKT build require one Oil Cooler Line that needs to be cut to length and angle so that it can thread through the engine bay without kinking up thereby allowing the oil to flow freely and not chafe against anything nearby.
