    A:
    Begin by disconnecting the negative battery terminal cable before removing steering column covers and knee bolster. Continue by detaching retaining nuts to lower the column and reach the switch screws. Then remove the ignition switch electrical connector. Insert the key lock cylinder to Run position while removing the two retaining screws and disengaging the switch from actuator pin The technician should first disconnect the ignition switch electrical connector after setting the ignition key lock cylinder to Run position. Then remove both retaining screws while disengaging the ignition switch from the actuator pin. Position the actuator pin slot on the new ignition switch to Run before inserting the switch onto the pin and then securing it with retaining screws which you can adjust to match the screw holes. Connect the electrical connector to the switch before putting the upper steering column cover in place, raise the steering column and install the retaining nuts with secure tightening. At last, install steering lower column covers and lower insulator panel before connecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.
