How to remove and install the rear suspension components on Ford Focus?

To disassemble the rear suspension coil springs, first, mount the hub assemblies on both sides of the car with axlestands then proceed to dismantle the stabilizer bar then the upper and the lower arms of the hub assemblies. Pull and drop the exhaust as far as it can then suspend it while continuing with the rest of the process. Place a floor jack under the crossmember and then unbolt the three mounting bolts on each side and then drop the jack to take off the crossmember to the floor. For installation reverse the above process when it comes to raising the crossmember ensure that locating pins are used to give the correct alignment. D0 not fully tighten the suspension mounting bolts until you have completed the suspension Design Height setting procedure and then torque all the bolts to specification then check the rear wheel toe setting and adjust if required.
