For the removal of the heater blower motor on 2007 and earlier models, disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the lower passenger side footwell trim and the glovebox. Detach the ventilation hose from the motor assembly and unplug the motor's electrical connector, then remove the motor by undoing the three screws securing it in place. The motor's control resistor can be removed by taking out the screw at one end of the resistor. For installation, follow the reverse of the removal procedure. Regarding the heater core, the procedure varies depending on the model year. For models through 2001, the process involves removing the instrument panel, disconnecting electrical connectors, and dealing with difficult-to-access fasteners, so it's advised to tag connections and keep track of fasteners in marked plastic bags. For later models, the heater core can be removed more easily, but the instrument panel will still need to be removed if the heater core housing requires replacement.
