Disconnect both battery ground cables for the 2.2L engine. Disconnect and remove the injection lines from the nozzles and injection pump, capping all lines and fittings. Remove the fuel return line and gaskets, and the bolts attaching the fuel line heater clamp to the cylinder head, positioning the heater out of the way. Remove the nozzles using a 27mm deepwell socket, and the nozzle washer (copper) and nozzle gasket (steel) using Tool T71P-19703-C or equivalent. Clean the nozzle assemblies with Nozzle Cleaning Kit, Rotunda 14-0301 or equivalent, and a suitable solvent, drying thoroughly. Clean the nozzle seats in the cylinder head with Nozzle Seat Cleaner, T83T-9527-B or equivalent. Position the new nozzle washers and gaskets in the nozzle seats, install the nozzles and tighten. Install the nozzle gaskets with blue side face up (toward nozzle). Position the fuel line heater clamps and install attaching bolts. Install the fuel return line with new gaskets on nozzles. Install the injection lines on the nozzles and injection pump and tighten the line nuts. Connect both battery ground cables. Run the engine and check for fuel leaks.For the 2.3L engine, disconnect battery ground cables from both batteries. Disconnect and remove injection lines from injection nozzles and injection pump, capping all lines and fittings using Protective Cap Set, T85T- 9395-A, or equivalent. Remove fuel return pipe and gaskets. Remove nozzles using a 21mm deep well socket. Remove holder gasket and nozzles gasket using 0-ring Tool T71P-19703-C or equivalent. Clean exterior of nozzle assemblies using brass brush from Nozzle Clean Kit 014-00301, or equivalent and a suitable solvent, drying thoroughly. Install new nozzle gasket and holder gasket in cylinder. Install nozzles and tighten to specification, using a 21mm deep well socket. Install fuel return pipe using new gaskets. Tighten nuts to specification. Install injection lines on nozzle and fuel injection pump and tighten line nuts to specification. Connect battery ground cables to both batteries. Run engine and check for fuel leaks.
