  • Q: How to remove and install Exhaust Manifold in 4.0L SOHC V6 engine on 2001 Ford Explorer?
    A: First of all to dismantle this component, the negative battery cable should be disconnected. Next is the removal of the EGR tube from both the left manifold and the EGR valve together with two hoses that are installed on the differential pressure feedback EGR system. Next, undo the exhaust pipe from the manifold(s) may demand lifting of the car and supporting it on stands in order to have a clear shot at the nuts at the base of the pipe. If there is an Automatic Ride Control, the air suspension switch should be off prior to the raising of the vehicle for any damage to occur.
