How to remove and install Exhaust Manifold in 4.0L SOHC V6 engine on 1999 Ford Ranger?

To remove the exhaust manifold, turn off the vehicle's engine and disconnect the negative terminal of its battery, remove the EGR pipe connected to the right manifold and EGR valve. Lift the car and secure it firmly on jackstands and then remove the exhaust pipe from the manifold(s) if required for the access of exhaust pipe nuts. Loosen the exhaust manifold(s) nuts by removing it from the cylinder head and remove the manifold taking care to remove nut of the engine oil dipstick tube on the left side of the manifold. Before installing do the following: remove dirt on the mating surfaces on the cylinder head, manifold, and exhaust pipe using scraper and then use solvent such as acetone or lacquer thinner. It is also important that the mating surfaces of both manifolds be flat to avoid having to machine warped or damaged ones. Place the new gasket on the cylinder head studs and then position the manifold over the cylinder head, and then tighten the bolts to correct torque settings. Fixed the exhaust pipe to the manifold and tighten up the nuts in a balanced way until the torque has been achieved. Perform the removal steps backward and after running the engine, check if there are exhaust leaks present.
