About Mercury Grand Marquis

Mercury Grand Marquis is a full-size, rear-wheel drive luxury sedan manufactured and marketed by Ford Motor Company from 1975 to 2011. Though the first Mercury Grand Marquis was produced in 1975, however, it did not become an independent model until 1983. As the counterpart of Ford Crown Victoria, it had been through four generations.
An extensive update Mercury Grand Marquis introduced for the 1998 model year became the third generation Grand Marquis (1998-2002). Just like other Ford cars, it offered base GS, deluxe LS and LSE trims. As a 4-door sedan, Grand Marquis was powered by 4.6 L Modular V8 engine attached to a 4-speed 4R70W automatic transmission. In 2003, Mercury Grand Marquis received another facelift, which was the fourth generation Grand Marquis (2003-2010). It then was available in base GS, GS Convenience, LS Premium, LS Ultimate, and LSE trim levels.
