Ford F-250 Radius Arm Parts Questions & Answers

  • Q: How do you remove the front radius arm?
A: To remove the front radius arm, raise the vehicle and support it on jackstands and then place a jack under the axle's outer end and remove the wheel. Disconnect the Shock Absorber's lower end and detach the front stabilizer bar. Remove the coil spring and lower spring seat from the radius arm. Remove the screws retaining the axle-to-radius arm bracket and the bolt and stud retaining the radius arm to the axle. Remove the nut, washer, heat shield, rubber insulator, and spacer from the radius arm's rear end. Push the radius arm away from the axle and remove it from the rear support bracket. Remove the front retainer and rubber insulator from the radius arm's rear. To install, reverse the procedure, replace worn insulators, and use new fasteners. Finally, check and adjust the front wheel alignment if necessary.
