How to remove and install the headlight switch on Ford Explorer Sport Trac?

Unscrew both cables - the connection cable from the battery, and the wire leading to the airbags when it's available. Take out two parts: turn off heat for the rear windows and disable the rear windshield washer. Pull off the headlight switch knob. Remove the instrument cluster trim panel. Take out the instrument cluster trim panel, unscrew the two mounting screws, and disconnect the electrical plug. The switch can be removed when you've gotten to behind these items. Installation is the reverse of removal.
