When disconnecting a front brake hose from the brake lines, carefully unscrew the brake line fittings from the hose junction block, taking care not to bend the junction bracket or kink the lines. If necessary, apply penetrating oil to facilitate the disconnection. To disconnect a rear brake hose from the brake line, unscrew the metal tube nut using a flare nut wrench, remove the U-clip from the female fitting at the bracket, and detach the hose from the bracket. When disconnecting hoses from calipers or wheel cylinders, discard the copper washers on either side of the fitting, and when attaching new brake hoses, use new copper washers. For front brake hoses, secure the hose junction bracket to the frame and tighten the bolt securely, then screw in the tube nuts. To reattach a rear brake hose, insert the hose end through the frame bracket, ensure it's not twisted, and attach the metal line by securely tightening the tube nut fitting. Install the U-clip at the frame bracket, making sure the vehicle's weight is on the suspension during this process. Carefully inspect to ensure that suspension or steering components do not make contact with the hose, and have an assistant push down on the vehicle and turn the steering wheel lock-to-lock during inspection. Finally, bleed the brake system. When replacing brake lines, always use the correct steel brake lines, prefabricated lines with flared tube ends and fittings are recommended, ensuring proper support, clearance from moving or hot components, and thorough brake system bleeding and testing before returning the vehicle to regular operation.
