- A:For 2010 and earlier models, disconnect the negative battery cable and the reservoir hose from the radiator filler neck. Remove the screws securing the shroud to the radiator. Then, remove the four screws and washers attaching the fan/clutch assembly to the water pump drivebelt hub. Lift the fan/clutch assembly out of the engine compartment. On 2001 through 2010 2.3L engines, remove the drivebelt and remove the fan nut.Posted by FordPartsGiant Specialist
